Alexander S. Finger

Dr. Finger received his Bachelor of Science at Union College majoring in Biology. He then went on to receive his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Finger completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan.

During his training, Dr. Finger has served as one of the team physicians for the New York Mets. He was also one of the physicians for the Alvin Ailey dance company in Manhattan. Dr. Finger is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He was also inducted into the national honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Finger is highly trained in all aspects of orthopedics including joint replacements, sports medicine, foot and ankle problems, and trauma. He has had special training in minimally invasive joint replacements and also focuses on nonoperative treatment for hip and knee arthritis.
